Diptych "Crucifixion"

I present my new work - diptych "Crucifixion". The concept is based on an attempt to rethink this mega-image, which, like the underwater part of an iceberg, unites world culture, history, religion and art. By dividing the image into two parts, I want to make the viewer feel the meaning of the void suspended between the two paintings. This emptiness, gap, absence of the most important thing that we expect to see here becomes the main part of the diptych. At the same time, the proportions and dimensions of this space between the paintings are very important, it can neither be wider nor narrower. There are naturally certain problems in presenting this work fully, but I think that additional photos and fragments will allow you to understand its message.
